Late Summer Outfit Inspiration

So, I haven’t been going out as much outside from work, but I have a few cute outfits that I’d like to share with you all, as well as some other little things I’ve been rocking (and loving) lately.

I must admit, I was definitely inspired by Symphani Soto when I put this outfit together. She is one of my favorite beauty influencers, and I loved this outfit that she matched. Black on black is one of my go-to combinations, so I decided to pair this half-mesh crop top I had in my closet with a pair of black tapered trousers for a more refined look.

Top: H&M

Pants: Express

So, I know I haven’t done a ton of makeup looks lately, but I thought this one turned out fairly well. I know so many people shy away from using blue eyeshadow, but let me tell you, if you know how to wear it, it looks beautiful! I decided to do a lighter play on Symphani Soto’s dramatic blue eye look with a mix of bright and muted blue shadows with neutral transitions, but with a nude lip instead of a dark one.

I really haven’t always been a get-my-nails-done type of girl. I always kept them natural and often unpainted. However, I’ve been getting them done as of recent. I opt for gel polish on my natural nails. I’m not certain what color this is (I apologize), but it is a beautiful royal blue that I enjoyed wearing for a couple of weeks.

While we’re on the subject of blue, let’s talk about this outfit! I went out for brunch with a friend and wore this cute piece. This is probably one of my favorite dresses that I own. It’s sexy without being too much, yet graceful with it’s fluted style. I paired this dress with a pair of camel heeled sandals. Simple, yet sophisticated.

Dress: ASOS

Shoes: Charlotte Russe

  • Every woman and man should own a camel-colored pair of shoes. Because of their neutral color, they go with almost anything!

So about this haircut…

I am so in love! I took an older wig that I had made a couple of years ago and cut it bluntly. For more volume, I took my Conair Infiniti Pro Curling Wand 1″ to ½” and added some curls throughout and finger combed them for a looser curl/wavy look. I love this hairstyle so much, and I’ve never worn hair this short, so it’s a nice change. I think I’m going to keep this style for a little while. What do you think?

  • For loose waves using a curling wand, only hold the curl for about 10 seconds, then release. It’ll save you some time having to finger comb tighter curls, and you’ll get beach waves even faster.

Fall is (almost) in the air, and I’m more than ready for it to come! I was running errands the other day, and slipped on something simple and comfortable. Even though it was warm, I opted for a super oversized sweater and wore it as a dress. I’m not sure if I was feeling dark and twisty, but I decided to wear a dark plum lip because why not?

Sweater: Thrifted

  • If you’re a lover of oversized things, then the men’s section is the best place for you! Shop around for men’s dress shirts and sweaters if you’re looking for some baggy-styled clothes for your wardrobe. They’re perfect for the upcoming fall and winter.

I received so many compliments on my makeup, which naturally made me a very happy girl. I chose to pair a dark lip with a neutral eye.

LA Girl Pro Conceal – ‘Fawn’, ‘Warm Honey’, ‘Espresso’

Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation – ‘Deep 71’

Ben Nye Banana Powder

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade – ‘Chocolate’, ‘Ebony’

e.l.f. Instant Brow Lift – ‘Deep Brown’

e.l.f. Clear Brown & Lash Mascara

Colourpop Creme Gel Liner ‘Swerve’

Tarte ‘Tartelette in Bloom’ Eyeshadow Palette

Smashbox Double Exposure Palette

Ardell Double Up Lashes #207

Black Radiance True Complexion Contour Palette – ‘Light to Medium’

Ruby Kisses Matte Lipstick ‘Dark Plum Scene’

  • For a more casual bold, pair a bold lip with a neutral eye or vice versa. Having both bold lips and eyes can come off as too dramatic for a daytime look.

I suppose that I was so inspired by my moody lip color that I decided to get my nails painted in a similar color. The color is called ‘Campari Soda’ from Lechat’s Perfect Match Gel Polish Collection.

‘Break the Internet’ booties

I saw Kylie Jenner and Desi Perkins (she actually purchased her booties from the same website I did) on Instagram with these booties, and had to have them! They are so mod and versatile. I received these beautiful booties from Lola Shoetique. They are the ‘Break the Internet’ booties in the color ‘Black’. They feature a pointed toe, cylinder heel, scuba material, easy slip on and a lightly padded insole for comfort. I’ll definitely be featuring these in a look this upcoming season.

Thank you guys for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed today’s post! Stay tuned for more.
