Rouge in November

Here’s a quick update on some of the outfits I’ve been wearing this past week (and I wear a lot of red/burgundy, hence the title of the post, so I apologize in advance guys).

On Tuesday, I had my second nurse residency class, and decided to do a simple denim-on-denim number for the day.

This medium wash chambray shirt is from Converse.

I wore these jeans in one of my previous outfit posts. They are one of my favorite pairs! They fit so snuggly and they’re actually high waisted, so the versatility in outfit matching is a plus. These dark wash jeans are from Forever 21.

k9

The star of the show has to be these red velvet booties! I’m currently obsessed with velvet this season, as is everyone else, and I couldn’t resist adding a splash of color. These ankle booties feature a velvet upper and a chunky heel. With only a 3.25″ heel, they’re perfect for a casual day out. These cute booties are from Steve Madden.

And to keep with the burgundy trend, I chose to carry this leather laptop bag from Kenneth Cole. This bag is big enough to carry my laptop, stationary, and has many inserts for my keys, cell phone, and small cosmetic items.

I received SO many compliments on this outfit on my night out! (S/o to Lanaisha for grabbing dinner with me!)

I received this half-sleeved tie waist suede kimono from makemechic.com. It’s so comfortable! I chose to wore it without any clothing underneath because I loved the look of the V-neck feature.

These suede chunky-heeled knee high boots are from the Aldo outlet. They also feature lace up detailing in the back at the top of each calf.

And of course, I had to wear some booties. These snakeskin ankle booties are from J.Crew.

It’s #MakeupMonday! I picked up a couple of cosmetic items today that I thought I’d share them with you all. (Btw, it’s also #ManicureMonday, and my gel polish is in the color ‘Red Stone’ by DND.)

My first purchase was this Lorac Pro Palette 3 by Lorac Cosmetics.

lorac1

It features 8 matte shadows and 8 shimmer shadows. I’m a lover of neutral makeup, so this palette was a perfect addition to my collection.
