Hey guys! I’m coming to you all with a short post on a simple everyday makeup look featuring a new product that I received the other day. Most of the products that I used for my face were the same as I always use, so just as a disclaimer, everything will not be mentioned. However, I will list below any new products that I used, as well as any tips and tricks that I’ve picked up over the last couple of weeks.
For my brows, I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in the shade Ebony. While watching a recent tutorial by @foreverflawlyss, I noticed that when she did her brows, she used black mascara at the front of her brows to feather them. I decided to give it a try and loved the result; below is a picture of me doing this method. It worked out SO well in my opinion. I feel as if using the ABH Dipbrow Pomade throughout the entire brow can make them look harsher than one would want. Instead, I just used it for about 3/4 of my brow, then used black mascara for the remainder to give them more of a natural look. I used my e.l.f. Mineral Infused Mascara to achieve this look. I also used my e.l.f. Clear Lash & Brow Mascara to blend everything together.
For my eyes, I used some neutral eyeshadows of various shades from my Z Palette my Smashbox Double Exposure Palette for a simple look. As far as eyeliner styles are concerned, I’ve come to the conclusion that winged liner does not go well with my eye shape. Especially in pictures, my eyes tend to look smaller and closed off when I do a winged liner, so I opted for a smooth, everyday line with a very small flick at the end. I find that this eyeliner style makes my eyes look more open. Per usual, I used my favorite liquid eyeliner: the Kat von D Tattoo Liner. I also used my Rimmel London Kohl Kajal pencil in Nude to line my water line to also give the illusion of a larger eye.
For lashes, I used the Ardell Double Up Lashes in #207. Because these lashes were too long, I had to cut a small piece off of each of the lashes to make sure that they fit my eye shape.
I didn’t use any new facial products except for my Becca Blushed with Light Palette that I received this week.
This particular palette features 3 blush shades: Wisteria (matte soft rose), Songbird (shimmering peach), and Snapdragon (luminous coral).
I decided to use the shade Songbird and mix it with a little of my Maybelline Face Studio Master Hi-Light Bronzer in Deep Bronze for added shimmer.
For my lip color, I used a brown lip liner, plus Wet ‘N’ Wild’s Megalast Lip Color in Bare It All and Anastasia Beverly Hill’s Lipgloss in Sunset Strip on top.
My bodysuit is from Wet Seal.
Thank you all for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this post, and Happy Holidays!
